John Bolton

John Bolton has built his career around identifying paradigm shifts in technology and media before they become obvious, and building companies that help shape them.

In the late 2000s, he saw mobile’s potential to transform music access, founding Muve Music, the first bundled mobile music service, and scaling it to over 2.5 million subscribers in the U.S. and Brazil. Ahead of the social video boom, he joined Flipagram to lead music licensing and business development, helping grow it to 50 million monthly active users before its sale to ByteDance, where he then helped launch and scale TikTok from Beijing as Head of Music & Strategy.

Most recently, he founded Super Hi-Fi, an AI-powered music and radio technology company powering Apple Music Radio, iHeart, Sonos, Audacy, Peloton, and more, creating the world’s first AI Radio Operating System.

Across these chapters, Bolton has focused on anticipating where audiences, creators, and platforms are headed, building products, partnerships, and businesses that unlock those futures while operating at the intersection of technology, media, and culture.
