Reinvention, Mentorship, and Nashville’s Creative Community

Episode Summary

What does it take to stay creatively fulfilled at one company for over 25 years? Mark Scrivner sits down with Scott Brooks, Post-Production Supervisor at GS&F and President of AAF Nashville, to trace a career that started hand-coding HTML in 1999 and evolved through Flash, video, and animation without ever losing its sense of novelty. Scott shares how he co-founded GS&F’s interactive division, why he’s chosen craft over the executive track, and how mentorship and collaboration have shaped both his agency work and his leadership of AAF. This conversation covers career longevity in the agency world, the evolution of interactive media, building the AAF Nashville community post-COVID, choosing production partners, mentoring young creative talent, and the books and artists that continue to inspire his work.
